Anyone seeking help for substance use or co-dependency begins with a full assessment to better understand their needs. From there, personalized treatment recommendations are made. In addition to one-on-one support, The Recovery Center provides a range of group programs designed to best support each client’s recovery journey. These might include one or more of the following:

Men's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Men's IOP meets Monday through Thursday mornings for about two hours. This is a 16-week program and is an alternative to residential treatment. It is for men who are at higher-risk for relapse or are seeking to gain the social and personal skills to maintain recovery. The group offers a high level of structure and stability to support abstinence. This group provides education on a wide variety of recovery and addiction related topics, as well as daily skills training to live a drug and alcohol-free life. This group also provides education and support for a variety of mental health conditions and dual diagnoses. Men completing this group will leave with the skills and a support network to help them maintain their sobriety.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse Prevention meets each Monday and Thursday evening for about one hour. This is a 12-week program and is designed for those who have just completed men's or women's IOP. This group uses the "Living in Balance" curriculum and the 12-step model to help members maintain sobriety. SMART meets Tuesday evenings for about one hour. This program recognizes that the 12-step model of recovery is not for everyone. It utilizes alternative teaching to help group members be successful in their recovery and maintain their sobriety.

Education Group

Education group meets Tuesday evenings for about one hour. It focuses on educating individuals about the effect that drugs and alcohol have on one's physical, emotional, and mental health. It is designed for those who may not be ready to engage in treatment for recovery but would like to learn more about the effects that alcohol and other drugs can have on them.

Aftercare Group

Aftercare meets virtually Tuesday evenings for about one hour. This group is for men and women who have completed other treatment groups and are living sober lifestyles while working, attending school, parenting, working on relationships, and accepting life on life's terms. It offers a community of support as members share and interact with each other, confronting daily stressors to learn how to cope with them. Members are encouraged to be independent and open when confronting life's challenges and to see situations differently. These skills help to promote individual growth and allows for members to take command of their own life.

Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT)

In MRT, you work step by step on goals that strengthen your self-esteem, relationships, and sense of purpose. The goal is to support positive change and help you build a healthier, more successful life.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

MAT group meets in the evenings, in-person on the first Thursday of the month and virtually on the third Thursday of the month for about one hour. This group is for individuals who are receiving treatment at The Recovery Center for substance use. It can be an alternative to individual therapy if recommended by the treatment team.
